Stammar
Stammar is a beautiful and powerful poem written by Sachidananthan, the very famous Malayam Poet and critic.in his poem he explains that the stammar is not a handicap. It is a mode of speech. It is the silence between the word its meanig. It is the silence between words and deed.
Even the language experts do not know whether the stammar has origined before the language or not. They are unable to the question whether the stammar is a dialect or a language itself. The Poet explains that while we stammar actually we offer a sacrifice to the god of meaning.when all people stammar It becomes the mother tongue. He also says that god must have stammered when he created the man. That is why words of man carry different meaning.
The poem has presented in different perspective. Similie and melephors are major figures of speech employed in the poem. It is interesting and thought provoking.
