+2 English chapter - MENDING WALL

Mending wall

Mending wall is a beautiful and powerful Poem written by Robert Frost, who is one of the renowned writers in English Literature. The central idea of the Poem is that the despute on  wall build between the writer and his neighbour. The poem gives message that the nature does not like seperation and other discrimination having in societies. In the poem, a stone wall seperates the speaker's Property from that of his neighbour. In every spring they find the wall broken. The two walk along and repairs. Even if the narrator does not like the wall his neighbour says that the good fences make good neighbours. The wall symbolizes all man made barriers such as divisions between nations, cast, relegion, language and etc..
The Poem is very rich with Various types Poetic devices. He has used personification, similie, metaphor, repetition assonance and imagery to make this poem beautiful and grand. I enjoyed the lines"good fences make good neighbours" because it is like crystal clear truth that fences are essential factor of making good relationship. The poem is intersting and heartfelt.
